Do you own land along the Farmington River? One of the most important decisions you can make is how you manage the buffer zone between your land and the river, also known as the riparian buffer zone.

The summer of 2015 has come and gone. It was the first year the FRCC had an official ‘River Steward Program’. Besides myself, three paid stewards and five volunteer stewards patrolled the river with a mission to make the Wild and Scenic section of the Farmington ‘A safe and fun place to recreate on’. Over 1200 hours were spent by the team on the river.
